At Eye Care Professionals we strive to provide the patient the best eye care possible. This is possible by investing in high-tech equipment to evaluate the eyes. At the same time we believe in having ample time available between the doctor and patient. Educating the patient is the most important part of a thorough, comprehensive eye exam.
At Eye Care Professionals, the comprehensive eye exam consists of the following:
Visual acuities, refraction, pupil testing, ocular motilities, muscle alignment testing, focusing assessment, depth perception, color vision, intraocular pressure testing, peripheral vision testing, health assessment of the front of the eye, as well as a dilation to assess the health of the internal eye.

In addition, we have higher level testing to assess some of the aberrations of the eye. This allows us to produce a custom prescription for the patient. The results are sharper, optimum vision.
A retinal nerve fiber analysis helps us determine a patient's risk of glaucoma. It is also used as a tool to manage glaucoma and check for disease progression once diagnosed.
We also have the ability to measure macular pigment ocular density. This is one of the risk factors for macular degeneration. Further, we can then recommend supplements if indicated and then monitor for changes.
With ocular coherance tomography, we can analyze the retina in detail.
With all of this data we can then diagnose, treat, and manage eye disease to the highest ability.
We at Eye Care Professionals also fit a wide range of contact lenses. This includes the basic spherical lens, toric lenses for astigmatism, bifocal/multifocal contact lenses, ridid gas permeables as well as the more difficult-to-fit such as keratoconus and post-op corneal transplants.
