hello!
i've been a contact lens wearer for 18 months now, and i've experienced red eyes during contact lens wear about twice, then after taking them off, the redness remains overnight. after those times, the redness has appeared only after i've removed my contact lenses, again remaining red overnight. i've visited my optometrist and he's checked my eyes, and he's said that they are very healthy, but i notice that even now, there is some slight pinkness on the outsides of the white of my eye, and some noticeable capillaries.

any ideas?
thanks

thats not an infection. that sounds like what we in the states call CLARE (contact lens associated red eye), commonly confused with "pink eye" (but not pink eye, obviously).

IMO it usually means you have a poorly FITTED contact lens, or a material that is too low in O2 transfer. go get refit.
